The role and effect of learning leadership behavior at the level of employee job satisfaction and commitment

Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship and effect of learning leadership behavior for employees on job satisfaction and engagement in selected organizations in Turkey. A cross-sectional study design with a random sample (N = 186) was made. Scanning model was used in the research. As the working population, LİMCA DEORATIF CAM VE AYNA A.Ş., operating in the glass industry in Ankara. are supervisors and assistant supervisors working in the company. The sample selection was chosen as a random sample. Learning Leader Behavior Scale, Job Satisfaction Scale and Job Engagement Scale were applied. As a result of the analysis to reveal the differences in attitudes of supervisors and assistant supervisors towards job satisfaction levels, although the job satisfaction levels of female employees are lower than male employees, the difference is not statistically significant, and there is no difference between female and male employees in the scales of job engagement and leadership. On the other hand, there was no difference between supervisor and assistant supervisor groups in terms of job satisfaction, job commitment and leadership levels. When examining the undergraduate and graduate graduation status of the supervisors and assistant supervisors, there was no difference between the job satisfaction, job commitment and leadership levels of the undergraduate students compared to the graduate level. When examining whether there is a difference according to the ages of supervisors and assistant supervisors, there was no difference between the ages of 18-28, 29-39, 40-50, and 51 and over in terms of job satisfaction, job commitment and learning leadership levels. According to the years they worked, there was no difference between 0-5 years, 6-11 years, 12-17 years and 18 and over professional seniority in the job satisfaction, job commitment and leadership levels of supervisors and assistant supervisors. In addition, statistically significant, high and positive relationships were found between supervisors and assistant supervisors' learning leader behavior, job satisfaction and job commitment levels. On the other hand, it was concluded that job engagement and job satisfaction levels were affected by learning leadership behavior. It underlines the important role of leaders in creating positive attitudes towards the businesses they work for.
