Abstract (EN)

The concept of social intelligence is of vital importance in terms of human resources of enterprises. The aim of this study, which is based on this important effect, is to examine whether burnout perceptions have a mediating role in the effect of employees' social intelligence levels on their performance and burnout perceptions on their performance by measuring the effect of burnout perceptions on their performance. For this purpose, 999 healthcare professionals who provide healthcare services in three major public health institutions in Istanbul were reached by easy sampling method, data were collected by questionnaire, mediation effect analysis was tested with Hayes' Macro Process 3.5 version, which can be used as integrated into SPSS 25, and the data were analyzed by considering Bootstrap method. In the study, the concepts of social intelligence, burnout and employee performance were discussed within the scope of the Theory of Conservation of Resources. As a result of the application, it was determined that burnout perceptions had a mediating role in the effect of employees' social intelligence levels on their performance. In addition, it was found that emotional exhaustion, which is one of the sub-dimensions of the social intelligence scale, and one of the sub-dimensions of the burnout scale, had no statistically significant effect on employee performance.
