The effect of work engagement on job and life satisfaction

The continuity and efficiency of a business is related to the efficiency of employee performance. Businesses prefer to hire employees who are willing to devote all their talents and experience to their organizations, who are passionate about working with high levels of satisfaction, because they become more productive and devote all their capacity to their work. Work engagement, job satisfaction and life satisfaction have become a topic of great interest in recent years and are gaining more importance in today's changing business environment. The main purpose of this research is to examine the effect of work engagement on job and life satisfaction. For this purpose, the research was carried out through a questionnaire on 303 people consisting of employees in a textile company in Kastamonu province. Factor analysis was applied to the obtained data using the SPSS program, and then they were analyzed by correlation and regression analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that work engagement affects job and life satisfaction. In this context, while the dimensions of vitality, devotion and focus which are the sub-dimensions of work engagement, there was no significant effect dimensions vitality on the job satisfaction, the dimensions of devotion and focus had a positive effect. When the relationship between the sub-dimensions of work engagament and life satisfaction was examined, it was seen that the focus dimension did not have a significant effect on life satisfaction, but the dimensions of vitality and devotion had a positive effect. In addition, a positive relationship was found between work and life satisfaction.
