Abstract (EN)
In both continuous and discontinuous forms, glass fiber is widely used in transportation and transportation, consumer, construction, chemical, industry, electronics, consumer products, etc. It offers a variety of choices in people's modern lives, including Water-based polyurethane dispersions are functional polymers constructed using water as the dispersion medium. Water-based polyurethane disersions are more environmentally friendly than solvent-based polyurethanes, and are easier to carry and cost. Water-based polyurethane dispersions are gaining increasing interest in the commercial enterprise due to their wide applications in plastics, paints, sprays, inks, biomaterials and other fields. As a natural component of composites, glass fibers are used as reinforcement for organic matrices. Fiber sizing applied to pure glass fiber is the most important blending of glass fibers and their composites. As a natural component of composites, glass fibers are used as reinforcement for organic matrices. Fiber sizing applied to pure glass fiber is the most important component involved in the production of glass fibers and their composites. In other words, when it comes to glass fibers, sizing has a significant impact on the success or failure of most reinforcement products and their composites. This is because sizing has an important role in the workability and performance of that product. Film former and bonding agent are the two main components of the sizing system. The film former is designed to protect and lubricate the fibers and hold them together prior to composite processing, while promoting separation when in contact with the resin and ensuring that all filaments are fully wetted. Film formers usually make up the bulk of the material in a size formulation. Film formers are chosen to be as close as possible to the required polymer matrix while still meeting all other sizing requirements. Consequently, the usual range of film-forming materials reflects the range of composite matrix materials. Polyvinyl acetates, polyurethanes, polyolefins, polyesters and epoxies are some of the most commonly used film formers. Here, water based polyurethane dispersions (PUD) used in glass fiber products used in thermoplastic composite applications are emphasized. Water based polyurethane dispersion technology allows many of the high molecular weight and water-insoluble materials to be applied to glass fiber surfaces. In this study, the properties of water-based polyurethane dispersions are discussed, followed by a review of studies detailing reaction procedures and mechanisms for their continuous production. In addition, current and future applications of continuous production processes for water-based polyurethane dispersions are presented.
