Glass transmits light and it is resistant to so many chemical effects and atmospheric conditions. Today glass is a very important engineering material in production industry. It is used so widely from automotive industry to package industry and also in architectural applications. TİO2 coatings are obtained by sol-gel method, and the aim of this study is to examine the optical, mechanical and physical properties of the coatings which are obtained by using solutions from different TİO2 sources. For this process two solutions are prepared from Ti-isopropoxide and Ti-butoxide. Different withdraw velocities are used with these two solutions and then by dip-coating process depositions are made. In addition to this every one week the aged solutions are deposited to glasses separately. After sintering the coated glasses at 400°C-500°C, their optical properties are compared. The reflection and transmission values of the glasses to which mechanical and physical test were applied are investigated. By the help of the X-ray analysis of the gel obtained from solutions, for all the temperature values the phases are examined. The reflection value of the coating which were made from Ti-isopropoxide solution is found between %20-30. As we know that this value is nearly %30 in IROX® product, so we can say that Ti-isopropoxide solution is convenient to be used for obtaining reflective coatings.
