Abstract (EN)
Grinding is a complex abrasive cutting process used to obtain good surface quality with grinding tools. In this study, three different diamond grinding tools were prepared and tested. Experiments were performed in a flat glass factory with a surface grinding machine. The microstructure of the grinding wheels was analyzed using a Scanning Electron Microscope and Energy Dispersive X-ray Analysis Device (EDX). Moreover, a service life of the diamond tools is compared to each other. The results show that the addition of iron to copper-based diamond wheels increased the service life but reduced the surface quality.
