Determination of the population development and generation numbers of Lobesia botrana Den.-Schiff on grapes in Çanakkale province

ABSTRACTThis study was carried out in Çanakkale province to determine populationdevelopment and the number of generatin of Lobesia botrana Den.-Schiff.(Lepidoptera : Tortricidae) in 2001-2003 years.The feromone traps have been used to determine adult population growing ofpest at 3 vineyards; one of them in Intepe and, two of them in Bozcaada of Çanakkaleprovince.As results, L. botrana has has 3 generations in Çanakkae province. The firstgeneration larvae damaged on bud and flower, the second and the third generation havefound on bunch of grapes. In additon, it was determined that the population density ofpest has different for every year. Temperature and wind are the major factor for adultpopulation which is trapped.The keys: Lobesia botrana, vineyards, Çanakkale, feromone trapsII
