Determination of the population development of the natural enemy Phytomyza orobanchia Kalt. And it's hostage broomrape (Orobanche spp.) that is harmful at tomato areas in Çanakkale province

ABSTRACTThis study was carried out to determine population of Orobanche spp. and therelationship between its natural enemy, Phytomyza orobanchia Kalt. (Diptera:Agromyzidae) in tomatoes area of Çanakkale province, in 2002-2003 years.In the first part of study it was done surveys to determine area which have highdensity of Orobanche spp. population in central county, Biga, Lapseki, Ezine andBayramiç counties and done identification of its natural enemy Phytomyza orobanchiain 2002.In the second part of study it was aim to determine the population density ofOrobanche spp. and its natural enemy Phytomyza orobanchia in Kepez, İntepe,Tevfikiye, Kumkale cities and Halileli, Yenimahalle, Çıplak, Kalafat villages in 2003.At the same time it had been determined count of P. orobanchia on 50 broomrapespikes.Key words : Phytomyza orobanchia, Orobanche spp., Tomato, ÇanakkaleII
