Assessment of the socio economic situation of Yenice, town of Çanakkale, by SWOT analysis

It is necessary to find out the potentials what a district has in order to determine how the district is developed and taken a progress. After that, the values, which the district has, should be exposed. The thesis over that the socioeconomic status of Yenice, Çanakkale, and the determination of the expansions which should be done today and also in the future.By this work, an economical frame, which includes a ten years period in the future, has been prepared. The aim of this study is to determine the socio economic quantative values which have been obtained subsistence economic database and to examine effects of future economic structure upon the socio economic structure of Yenice by using SWOT analysis.As a method, SWOT analysis has been used in the research. All the public and private institutions were searched and especially the interviews that were made face to face were put. In Yenice, by the search which SWOT analysis was used, 49 strenght aspects connected with socio economical level were found out and the most important ones are that Yenice has a serious potential of bell pepper and great woody lands. The town has 40 weaknesses, and the weakest one is it?s undeveloped industry. Opportunities variable that can be done most effectively deals 30 with arrangements and support in the region is to increse tourism in actions. And the most important one which can easily be seen among 23 threats is that the people of Yenice do not care about their values which can be brand names.
