Abstract (EN)

This research was carrying out between 2004-2005 years and fruits of ?Tüysüz BeyazSeftali? population grown in Çanakkale, which have a superior taste and arome propertieswere harvested at 5 different times. For this purpose; fruits were harvested for 5 time fromKepez and stored at periods of 2, 4, 6 weeks at 0°C heat and %85-90 relative humidityconditions. Then some quality measurements were done. Furthermore for first year at 4th andfor second year at 3th harvest time, fruits were packaged with control (cartoon bags + plasticvioles), polystrene plate + shrink film, PE bag and PVC- Pet with cover. Then they werestored for 2, 4, 6 weeks at 0°C heat and %85-90 relative humidity conditions. For the firstyear, storage was done in Çanakkale-Umurbey Municipality cold stores and for the secondyear in cold stores of ÇOMU Agriculture Faculty. Measurements were done in laboratory ofÇOMU Department of Horticulture.Quality characters of fruits such as; fruit weight, fruit size, skin colour, flesh colour,weight loss, fruit firmness, total soluble solids, titratable acidity, pH and fruit taste weremeasured.According to the results; skin colour, fruit size, fruit firmness, total soluble solis andtitratable acidity were fixed as harvest maturity indices for ?Tüysüz Beyaz Seftali? fruit.Furthermore, 4th harvest time in 2004 and 3th harvest time in 2005 were determined as themost suitable harvest times for fruits which were harvested at these times have the longeststorage period and they kept their quality properties at a high level. Furthermore, fruitspackaged with PVC- Pet with cover and polystrene plate + shrink film kept their quality afterthe storage periods.Keywords: Tüysüz Beyaz Seftali, harvest time, storage, package, fruit quality.
