Investigation of endoparasites captured fish from Çankiri province

Abstract (EN)

In the study, a total of 37 fish (20 Cyprinus carpio (Linnaeus, 1758), 7 Capoeta tinca (Heckel, 1843), 5 Squalius cephalaus (Linnaeus, 1758)., 5 Alburnus sp.) caught from 9 different stations within the provincial borders of Çankırı were examined for endoparasites. Nematode parasites were detected in 15% of 20 C.carpio, 42.9% of 7 C. tinca 40% of 5 S. cephalus and 20% of 5 Alburnus sp. . Pseudocapillaria tomentosa (Dujardin, 1843), Rhabdochona spp. (Railliet, 1916) larvae, R. gnedini (Skrjabin, 1946), R. denudata (Dujardin, 1845) were morphologically identified In the digestive system of freshwater fish. Of these nematodes, P. tomentosa is only found in C. carpio, while R. gnedini R. denudata and Rhabdochona spp. species were detected in all fish species. R. gnediniwas reported for the first time in Turkey with this thesis. Key Words: Fish, Endoparasite, Çankırı,
