Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out on Anatolian black pine, Scootch pine, and Taurus cedar species, which are the main forest trees most commonly used in afforestation studies, and mass saplings are produced under the ecological conditions of Cankiri-Kenbag Forest Nursery. In this study, morphological [seedling height(FB), root collar diameter(KBC), stem fresh weight(GTA), root fresh weight(KTA), seedling fresh weight (FTA), root length, dry root percentage (%Kroot), thickness index(GI), and Dickson quality index(DKI)] and physiological seedling characters [pre-dawn(Ψpd) and post-dawn(Ψmd) water potential and chlorophyll fluorescence (FV/FM) values ] of 1+0 aged seedlings with a polyethylene tube (11x25 cm) were tried to be determined. The quality classes of the grown seedlings were evaluated according to TSE standards. According to the results of the study, it is seen that all three sapling species are in the first class. Also, the periods of growth stage were determined by dry- the weight matter changes method. Without using any different treatment on the seedlings, under normal growth conditions, exit from stagnation, initial growth, fast growth, retardation, and lignification periods was determined during the year. As a result of the determination of the developmental stages specific, it is aimed to determine the most appropriate time for process such as fertilization, irrigation regimes, thinning and etc.
