Abstract (EN)

In this study, determination of microbiological contamination level and antibiotic resistance bacterial strain isolated from Çatalan Dam Lake that used to provide as drinking and potable water was aimed. In our study 779 Gram-negative bacterial strains were isolated and these isolates were identified by Vitek-II Compact System. The most common species were Aeromonas sobria (21.82%) and the least species were Raoutella ornithinolytica (0.26%). Antibiotic resistance of identified isolates that described was investigated to 41 different antibiotics. A Aeromonas sobria strain was found resistant to 39 antibiotics. A Hafnia alvei strain was only found resistant to tobramycine and a Aeromonas sobria strain was only found resistant to vancomycine. There was obtained the highest ratio of antibiotic resistance to fluconazole (89%), the lowest ratio of antibiotic resistance to chloramphenicol (3%). Multiple antibiotic resistance (MAR) index ranged from 0.024 to 0.951. The number of total bacteria that had MAR index over 0.2 was 653 (83.83%). Plasmid profiles selected 100 isolates of according to MAR index were determined by agarose gel electrophoresis. Plasmid DNA bands were observed 37% of isolates that done plasmid isolation. Single plasmid DNA band was determined a Aeromonas sobria strain that resistant to 39 antibiotics and the other Aeromonas sobria strain that resistant to 36 antibiotics. Plasmid DNA couldn't be detected in the other 30 or more antibiotics resistant strains.
