Abstract (EN)
This study examined the relationship between conflict totality, alexithymia, and romantic relationships in young adults..A total of 293 participants were included in the study, and data were collected using a Personal Information Form, the Conflict Resolution Styles Scale, the Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20), and the Relationship Satisfaction Scale. Descriptive statistics were applied in the analyses conducted with SPSS v.23 and AMOS v.24 The findings revealed that negative conflict resolution style negatively predicted relationship satisfaction, while positive conflict resolution style positively predicted relationship satisfaction. Alexithymia was found to have a full mediating role in the relationship between both negative conflict resolution style and positive coping style and relationship satisfaction. This study reveals that alexithymia, and constructive conflict resolution skills are fundamental factors determining relationship satisfaction in young adults. The findings provide guidance for both academic and practical fields and contribute to the development of emotional awareness and relationship management programs for young adults. Keywords: Conflict Resolution Styles, Alexithymia, Romantic Relationship Satisfaction
