Abstract (EN)
By analyzing the sources cited in this thesis, Cauchy and Goursat problems are discussed for second-order partial differential equations and the solutions of these problems are shown in separate examples. In order to find the general solution of second order partial differential equations, the method of converting these equations to canonical (simple) form is shown, and the general solutions of some partial differential equations are shown. The characteristic equations of second order partial differential equations are defined and the theorem showing the necessary and sufficient condition for the solution of characteristic equations is given and proved.
