Abstract (EN)
It is an important subject that to research new beta-lactamase enzyme inhibitors which can be effective to ß-lactam antibiotics for resistant strains of bacteria infection used clinacally. In this study, whether new beta-lactamase enzyme inhibitors for tea polyphenol as catechin, catechin gallate, epicatechin and epicatechin gallat used probable clinacally have this characteristic or not were investigated. This study was performed between march and april 2009 in Düzce University, Faculty of Medicine, Microbiology and Cinical Microbiology Laboratory Department. Standard starains as E. coli ATCC 25922 and S. aureus ATCC 29213, E.coli and S. aureus sources which resistant beta-lactam antibiotics isolated clinically were used. Beta-lactamase inhibitor effects of tea polyphenol and beta-lactam antibiotics as ampicillin and amoxicillin were researched on isolated bacterias. Ampicillin/sulbactam and amoxicillin/clavulanat combinations were used as control group. Method for measuring of antibiotics effect were resarched imposing dilution methods in ?Clinical Laboratory Standarts Institute?. Enzyme isolation and activation were tested to used chromogenic method (nitrosefin). In the study, MIC values were decreased pointedly by E.coli and S. aureus sources performed ampicillin-epicatechin, epicatechin gallate and catechin gallate combinations with amoxicillin-epicatechin and epicatechin gallate according to control groups. Synergic effects of this antibiotics and tea polyphenols are proven. Keywords: B-lactamase inhibition, S. aureus, E. coli and tea polyphenols.
