Özet (EN)

Çayeli massive sulfide ore placed in the Upper Cretaous aged dasitic rocks at the North zone of the East Pontids and overlayered by the purple tuffs placed in Upper Cretaous aged basaltic volcanites. The ore is in form of dissemine, stockwork and massive. The ore minerals are pyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, fahlers, galena and less markazite, bornite, calkozine- covelline. Gang minerals are barite, carbonat minerals, quartz, clay minerals, serizite and gypsum. With regards to texture and structure ore is divided to four types, massive ore, stockwork ore, dissemine ore, clastic ore.Alteration types observed in the studied area are silisification, clay alteration, chloritisation, carbonatisation, hematization and less sericitisation. Clay minerals are smectite, kaolenite and less the group of illite. In the Çayeli Massive sulfide ore bed Hydrothermal alteration at the country rock is more effective on the acidic compositoned rock, on the other hand basic compositoned rocks and sedimentary rocks are not much affected by the hydrothermal alteration.
