Abstract (EN)
In visibility analysis, the visible and invisible data area can be obtained by checking the high of position to observation point, the observation radius and the observation angle. There are nine elements to control visibility analysis. The definitions of these elements may change as long as they are numeric. There are three methods of visibility analysis in ArcGIS. These methods are visibility analysis, line of sight analysis and view shed analysis. The visibility analysis is an important analysis tool in many fields. The purpose of this study is to develop an interface that will enable visibility analysis to be used effectively by decision makers who do not have advanced GIS knowledge. In this research, I created a visibility analysis model proposal and I created the interface using the python programming language for this model proposal. This model proposal interface has been tested in the Selcuk university campus area. The created interface model uses the contours and the information of location and its height of the obstacles to obtain a raster digital elevation model. It allows in the future the city planners to create multiple scenarios and examine each scenario separately. In this way, it will help decision makers to be able to make question about certain points towards areas which can be seen. As well as make question about areas towards certain points which can be seen without having advanced GIS knowledge.
