Housi̇ng si̇te selecti̇on cri̇teri̇a wi̇th the help of GIS; Malatya sample

In this study, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) using techniques which will be held in Malatya city center and close to the environment in terms of prospective residential areas for planning studies to determine the most suitable areas. In this context, Using GIS software, ArcGIS 10.1 software is primarily Malatya city and thematic maps demonstrating the potential features of the natural and immediate environment (topography, geology, soil) have been established. Sectoral analysis techniques use the fitness value of the natural potential (Reclassificatio's) reflect the natural structure of the study area was classified using the maps for this purpose. Effective natural factors in determining the appropriate area of the settlement in Malatya in the study area (land use capability classes, geology, slope, erosion, aspect, elevation) formed by reclassifying thematic maps, ArcGIS 10.1 program Weighted Overlay (Weighted Registration) module with the help of different natural and it overlayed with mainly based on the evaluation of the factor weighting factor.
