Abstract (EN)

The absorption of interaction between ceftriaxone with phenylalanine and interaction between ceftriaxone with Calf-Thymus Deoxyribonucleic acid (CT-DNA) were determined and antibacterial activity of ceftriaxone and phenylalanine was studied on selected bacteria. The interaction of ceftriaxone with phenylalanine in different temperatures, incubation times and PH values were determined by Ultraviolet-Visible spectrophotometer (UV) and the absorption rates were very close. The interaction of ceftriaxone with CT-DNA was noticeable by Ultraviolet-Visible spectrophotometer (UV). Ceftriaxone alone and ceftriaxone combined with phenylalanine showed inhibition zone but phenylalanine alone did not show any inhibition zone on the bacteria used in this research (Salmonella enteritidis ATCC 13076, Proteus mirabilis ATCC 25933, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 43300 (MRSA), Sarcina lutea ATCC 9341, Salmonella typhimurium NRRLE 4463, Yersinia enterocolitica ATCC 1501). Our results give an idea to explore the interaction mechanisms between ceftriaxone and CT-DNA.
