Celâl-Zâde Sâlih Çelebi Cevâmi'ü'l-Hikâyât ve Levâmi'ü'r-Rivâyât (Topkapi revan k. no. 1085 y. 189-376) translation text

Classical literature traditon is a very productive field in prose as well as it is in poetry. In this period, like tezkirahs, prose stories also became traditions. In prose story tradition, Cevâmi'u'l Hikâyât ve Levâmi'u'r-Rivâyât which is one of the important prose works that obtained our literature through translation, was translated by Celâl-zâde Sâlih Çelebi. Originally written by Muhammed Avfî, consisting of four parts and each separated into twenty-five chapters, is a bulky story corpus. In this study, translation of the (189-376) leaves of Cevâmi'u'l Hikâyât ve Levâmi'u'r-Rivâyât which belong to Topkapı Revân K. No.1085 copy was done. Before passing to the transcription, it was concentrated on main lines of the prose story and some informations about the interpreter were given by introducing this work.
