Abstract (EN)
Damage state of structures and structural members can be determined by various test techniques. However, it is important to identify the current state and safety of the structure before the damage becomes visible. Nondestructive testing methods serve for this purpose and provide knowledge about state of overall system without any harming to the member. In this thesis, with the purpose of monitoring damage propagation in steel fiber reinforced concrete beams under three-point-bending, Acoustic Emission (AE) technique was utilized. Data obtained from AE were analyzed by using parameter and SiGMA analyzes. Within the scope of the analytical study, the specimens were analyzed by using Finite Element Analysis based upon Modified Compression Field Theory (MCFT) and analytical results were compared with experimental results.
