Comparison of Cemâlî Karamânî Nasihatnâmesi and Nasihat-ı Günahkâr (Text-index)

In this study, Cemâlî Karamânî Nasihatnâmesi and Nasihat-ı Günahkâr works are compared by making a general evaluation on religious and mystical nasihatnâmes. Nasihatnâmes, by their poets, generally direct human beings away from wrongs and evils with religious and mystical advice and direct them towards goodness, righteousness and beauty. These works focus on "how an ideal person should be" in society and how society should be transformed into a "preferred ideal society". Based on this definition, Cemâlî Karamânî Nasihatnâmesi and Nasihat-ı Günahkâr (Nasihat-ı Günahkâr), which are discussed in this thesis, are analyzed in terms of being works that guide their readers to what is right, good and beautiful by teaching the commandments and prohibitions of religion with religious and mystical advice. The thesis consists of five main chapters. In the first chapter, religious and Sufi nasihatnâmes are mentioned in general, how religious and Sufi nasihatnâmes are formed, how their contents are formed, which sources are utilized, and religious and Sufi nasihatnâmes written between the 13th century and the 19th century in Turkish literature are evaluated. In the second part, information on the life, literary personality and works of Cemâlî Karamânî is given. In the third part, Cemâlî Karamânî Nasihatnâmesi and Nasihat-ı Günahkâr (Nasihat-ı Günahkâr), which were written in the religious - Sufi genre and gave advice on subjects such as faith, Allah, prophets, prayer, fasting, judgment, death, repentance, heaven-hell, grave, love, the four gates of Sufism, are analyzed.
