Editing and Translation of Jamâlüddîn Ahmad b. Muhammad el-Ghaznewi's Muqaddimetu'l-Ghaznawiyya fil-Furu'il Hanafiyya

Jamâluddin Ahmad bin Muhammad el-Ghaznawi, who lived in 12th century, has very profound knowledge about Islamic law and manner and is one of the pioneer names among Hanafi scholars. This thesis focuses on one of his works: Muqaddimatu'l-Ghaznawiyya fil-Furu'il-Hanafiyye which is written in Arabic. The main theme of this work is to explain the principles of religious practices issues in Islam with the verses of Qur'an and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad. This study which aims to reveal and introduce this work, namely Muqaddimatu'l-Ghaznawiyya fil-Furu'il-Hanafiyya, having significant explanations and interpretations about Islamic religious practices. This project consists of an introduction, two main chapters and a conclusion. We gave a general information regarding the this work and my works in the introduction. In the first main chapter, we give about writer's life and his works. In the second chapter, made a comperativ translation of the work from Arabic to Turkish with the footnotes including the related verses and the hadiths. Also in the footnotes, various copies of the manuscript are condiderd in translation and are the most reliable one is mentioned. In the third chapter, the editing of the evaluated copies of the work that belong to Sulaymaniyah Library are cathegorized and the features of the other copies mentioned. In the conclusion, the writer and the content of his work are explained in a more detailed way. After that the back of the work, by taking the copy of Hajı Beşir Ağa as a reference point and adding the verses and the hadiths in footnotes, a critical text of the work in a printed form is composed with punctuation marks in order to enable easiness while reading. At the same time, the comparisons between the printed form of the work and the other copies are given in the footnotes.
