A review on Cenab Şahabeddin's critical articles in Servet-i Fünun mecmuası

The subject of this study includes the analysis of the criticism articles published in Servet-i Fünun by Cenab Şahabeddin, who made a great contribution to the aesthetics of Turkish poetry. This study consists of Cenab Şahabeddin's criticisms published in Servet-i Fünun magazine, starting from May 1, 1896 until May 12, 1927. The aforementioned criticisms come from poets and writers in New Turkish Literature, literary works, literature, expression and style, meter and harmony, criticism and criticism, art and poetry, poets and writers in Western Literature, literary movements, French literature, women and by categorizing and interpreting them as criticism articles that talk about women's style, nature descriptions in Old Turkish Literature and poets and writers in Old Turkish Literature. In these criticisms, Cenab dealt with subjects such as art, literature, aesthetic pleasure, meter, rhyme, old-new literature. In the introduction part, the subject of the research, the purpose of the research, the importance of the research, the assumptions of the research, the limitations of the research and the definitions of the words journal and criticism are given. In the relevant literature section, information is given about the theoretical framework, criticism in the New Turkish literature before the Tanzimat, criticism in the literature of the Tanzimat period, criticism in the literature of the Servet-i Fünun period, related researches, books, doctoral theses, master's theses and articles. In the method section, information about the research model, universe and sample, data collection tools and techniques, data collection process, and data analysis are given. Findings and Comments section of Cenab Şahabeddin's criticism articles published in Servet-i Fünun magazine are categorized according to their subjects. In the conclusion part, an evaluation was made on the critical writings of Cenab Şahabeddin. Finally, in the Appendices section, Cenab Şahabeddin's criticisms published in Servet-i Fünun magazine are presented in tabular form with the date of publication and the number of magazines published in chronological order.
