Abstract (EN)

Cengiz Aytmatov, who still continues to write, is one of the Turkish novelists who has written books such as stories, povests and novels. In his books, he sometimes tells the struggle for existence of Kirghiz_peasants and miserable scenes behind the lines during the Second World War. His subjects are sometimes the conflict between good and evil, the destruction of enviro nment or wrong application of the rules by the regime, or pressure policy of Soviet Goverment. Using folktales is his main charecteristic way of writing. All the events in his books occur in the open-air places such as mountains, lakes, rivers, train stations and steppes. Also a lot of different charecters can be seen in his books. That is one of the most important side of his books. The past, the present and even the future are the ones opening into another. Variety of events, setting up and fiction are another special feature of his books. "CEMİLE" which is thought by Louis ARAGON as the best love story of the world is his first povest which made him famous in Europea. Not only "CEMİLE" but also his other books have been translated into several languag es. He has tried to give international messages setting out from national and lo cal matters. He is the one of the authors whose books are read most all over the world.
