Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted in orange (Navelina), tangerine (Okitsu, Fremont, W.murcott, Ortanique, Robinson), grapefruit (Marsh seedless), pomegranate (Hicaz), avocado, persimmon (regional), apple (Red star, Galaxy gala), peach (Early maycrest, Franchoise), fig and nectarine (Early silver) which are supposed to be hosts of Mediterranean Fruit Fly, Ceratitis capitata Wied. (Diptera:Tephritidae) through 2013-2015 in Adana (Balcalı). The study was conducted in the orchards, Mediterranean Fruit Fly population fluctuated and the detrimental effect on the temperature of the apple, persimmon and tangerine fruit the pest is examined under laboratuary condition affecting the development time of the immature stages. As a result, the first and last adults were observed in the citrus orchards. This pest gave 7-8 generations during the study and overwintering sites were citrus orchards. The development time is observed with decreased with increasing temperature in laboratory conditions. 16°C in pupae development has not been observed in all three temperatures and at this temperature is dead larvae on persimmon fruit after entering the third stage.
