Abstract (EN)

This work involves the synthesis of 5, 11, 17, 23-tetra-ter-butyl-25,27-bis- (4-nitrobenzyloxy) -26,28-dihydroxy calix [4] aren (K1); 5, 11, 17, 23-tetra-ter-butyl-25,27-bisbenzyloxy-26,28-dihydroxy calix [4] aren (K2); 5, 11, 17, 23-tetra-ter-butyl-25,27-bis- (pentafluorobenzyloxy) -26,28-dihydroxy calix [4] aren (K3); 5,11,17,23- tetra-ter-butyl-25,27-bis(propargil) -26,28-dihydroxy calix [4] arene (K4) and 5, 11, 17, 23-tetra-ter-butyl-25,27-dimethoxycarbonylmethoxy-26,28-dihydroxy calix [4] arene (K5) compounds and the biological activity of these compounds. In the synthesis studies, the starting compound 5,11,17,23-tetra-ter-butyl-25,26,27,28-tetrahydroxycalix[4] arene was synthesized according to methods described in the literature. Then, 5, 11, 17, 23-tetra-ter-butyl-25,27-bis-(4-nitrobenzyloxy)-26,28-dihydroxy calix [4] arene (K1), 5, 11, 17, 23-tetra-ter-butyl-25,27-bisbenzyloxy-26,28-dihydroxy calix [4] arene (K2); 5, 11, 17, 23-tetra-ter-butyl-25,27-bis- (pentafluorobenzyloxy)-26,28-dihydroxy calix [4] arene (K3); 5,11,17,23- tetra-ter-butyl-25,27-bis(propargil) 26,28-dihydroxy calix [4] arene (K4); 5,11,17,23-tetra-ter-butyl-25,27-dimethoxycarbonylmethoxy-26,28-dihydroxy calix [4] aren (K5) were synthesized respectively, according to the methods described in the literature. Biological activity studies were carried out using Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Pseudomonas Aeruginosa ATCC 27853, Escherichia coli ATCC 35218, Bacillus subtilis and Candida glabrata to investigate the antimicrobial properties of the synthesized compounds (K1-K5). As a result of the investigation, it was observed that the antimicrobial effects of K4 and K5 were most effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, while those of K1, K2, K4 and K5 were effective against C. globrata.
