Abstract (EN)

Many biologically important compounds include nitrogen atom. Imines and their derivatives are important intermediates used in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds. They have effective usage in both industrial and laboratory envirenments. Hydrazone compounds show biological activity like imines. They are used as functional group in metal carbonyl compounds or schiff bases in inorganic synthesis. There are several methods in literatüre for the synthesis of imines and hydazones. However, these methods suffer from usage of organic solvents, expensive catalysts and long reaction time. In recent years, need of the development of cleaner and more environmetally bening methods have lead organic chemists conducting the appropriate studies to "green chemistry" concept. With these alternative methods conservation of resources as well as the cost reduction are targeted. The use of alternative solvents such as water, supercritical fluid and organic synthesis in solvent-free conditions are among these alternative methods. In this study, various benzaldehyde and acetophenon derivatives were reacted with primary, aromatic and aliphatic amines and hydrazine derivatives without using solvent and catalyst at room temprature. The reaction time was changed from 1 min to 5 days and the product yields were in %20-96.
