Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of filler fillers with various properties on the bearing capacity of a clay road floor were investigated. For this purpose, soil samples were prepared by adding 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 15 and 20% by weight fly ash, slaked lime, silica fume and blast furnace slag into a clay floor obtained from Malatya-Kiltepe region. Proctor tests were carried out on different water contents and maximum dry unit weights and optimum water contents of the samples were determined. The prepared and pure samples were subjected to cure times of 7 and 28 days and then subjected to free pressure and CBR tests to determine their strength and bearing strength. In addition, the effects of the additives on the road superstructure thickness and costs were determined by using CBR values. As a result of the experiments, it was determined that all additives except silica fume increased the strength of clayey soil. The rates that increase the strength of clayey soil at most; 5% slaked lime, 10% fly ash and 20% blast furnace slag. In addition, it has been seen that the clayey soil with increased strength provides a significant economic efficiency in road pavement thickness and cost.
