Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to determine the success levels of the students of varios educational levels on the subject ?the classification of living beings? and their views on the unit.In order to gather data forthe research, a success test and interview techniques were used. Initially, a student of literature was done in the research. In the light of the data gathered, a success test was prepared in order to be given to the students. After the pilot application was done with 60 high school students, the final shape was given to the success test. The research was done during the 2010-2011 schooll year with 761 high schooll and university students. The results of the test were analyzed by the help of SPSS. The analysis of the data showed that the success of the students in the subject ?the classification of living beings? is lowand they couldn?t interpret the classification of living beings correctly.
