Abstract (EN)

These steels are particularly used in the manufacture of machine parts and is subjected to stress relief heat treatment before use. Although this heat treatment conducted in said steel are damaged brittle fracture type. So longevity of these steels is very short. Material is the most important parameter for determining the longevity of fracture toughness. To adjust the longevity of the particularly need replacing the fracture toughness of a material. The fracture toughness can be replaced with a wide range of heat treatment. In this study, water quenching and tempering said steel made full annealing process and after this heat treatment were examined for changes in the mechanical properties of this steel. Be applied in determining the fracture toughness used a different method that is easy. This method of connecting the basic mechanical properties of toughness, it also explaining the nature of the fracture. Experiments were performed on three different cast steel. As a result of this stud, the optimum fracture toughness values of the annealing process is complete. At the same time the carbon rate increases, fracture toughness decreases.
