Abstract (EN)

The basic aim of this research is to present the aggressiveness level of the secondary (middle)education students and specify whether their aggressiveness level differentiate according to their types of schools or not. Another concern of the research is to determine if the aggressiveness of the students change or not in terms of various variants. The research has been carried out using survey method in descriptive methods. Totally 704 students ;264 of whom girls and 460 of whom male; have been included in this research. In order to select these students , exemplification method has been used. Schools have been chosen applying proportional exemplification method ,and the number of the students ;however, have been determined using concurrent student exemplification method. Data have been collected by personal information form, aggressiveness scale and SCL-90 scales. Data have been assessed with SPSS for Windows statistical package programme.Genarally, all of the students? aggressiveness level, interpersonal sensitivity level and anger hostility levels were found to be moderate. Female students have been seen to be less aggressive when compared to male students;and it has also been determined that as the level of the class increases the aggression level is higher. While education level of a mother affect children?s aggressiveness level, father?s education level, the number of siblings and the sequence of birth have no effect at all. As a result of the study, it has been found out that the level of education of the mother and father is not the factor for the anger-hostility and interpersonal sensitivity. What has been found meaningful is the difference between the anger-hostility and interpersonal sensitivity levels according to the number of siblings. The interpersonal sensitivity level of students who are three or four siblings have been found to be higher than those who are two siblings. All the same, while the factors such as mother and father are living together or not and they are alive or dead, affect the level of aggressiveness, it has been seen that these factors do not affect the level of anger-hostility and interpersonal sensitivity level. The way students perceive their parents? attitude towards them and kinds of punishment and the frequency of punishment are the factors that affect the level of anger-hostility and interpersonal sensitivity. At the end of the study it has been determined that interpersonal sensitivity and anger and hostility are factors of the aggressiveness. According to this result,it has been found out that as students? interpersonal sensitivity and anger and hostility level increases, students? aggressiveness level differentiates. According to this, the aggressiveness level of the schools, from higher to lower has been listed as the following: The students of Vocational High Schools are the first, Anatolian High schools are the second and High schools are the third on the list. In the study, the data acquired have been discussed and some proposals have been made.
