Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to evaluate the qualifications of translators and the contributions made and can be made by institutions training translators in developing such qualifications within the framework of the commercial aspect of translation activities in Turkey and the wider world. Although an ongoing discrepancy is known between the academic and commercial aspects translation, in recent years, the translation businesses prefer to recruit graduates of translation and education institutions (universities) rearrange educational programs to train the translators to meet market expectations, which stand as significant developments in this matter.
