Abstract (EN)
Children and Youths are the future of a society. The basic material in the development of children and youth's feeling and thought world can be considered as the translation of children and youth literature works. With this consideration, it is unacceptable that the translation of children and youth literature works are made carelessly. Therefore, we have to find out the reflections of translation methods on the target audience's preception world. Our primarily quesiton in this context of discovery is; if there is an impact of translation methods on the preception of the target audience. When we have determined that, due to translation methods it is an impact on the preception of the target audience, we have to ask how the relationship between theoretical perspective and the reality is.There are many factors that can affect child and young people's preception while reading children's and youth literature translations. But it is not possible to review all the factors in this thesis. The reason why we have limited our reputation on "translation methods" is that there are many factors that affect the preception when we point to individual cases. According to this, we have decied to study about an general factor which is more objective, workable and concern a large mass. Throught that our research will become more important and objective. The theoretical starting point of our work is the alieanting translation method of Schleiermacher. He claims that the alienating translation method takes the reader to the author and provides the reader to learn about the foreign. Our goal is to test this thesis on sample groups by surveys and find out if the sample groups learn the foreign when they read a translation of children and youth literature works that is translated with Schleiermacher's method. In the other hand, we will try to find out problems -if there are some problems- about preceptions of readers and which caused by translation methods and we also will try to find solution about these problems.
