Abstract (EN)

This experiment was conducted to study the effect of different methods of grafting Akça (TR 201004171 B patent number), Omega and whip with two different timings 2nd, week of February and March under polyhouse and grafting room conditions in walnut. The results indicated that under polyhouse, the maximum grafting success rate (96,00%) was obtained whip method of grafting followed by (93,00%) Akça grafting when done in 2th week of February. When the grafting was done in 2rd week of March, maximum success rate (100,00%) was determined using whip grafting and followed by Akça (90,00%) under polyhouse. Minimum success rate (15,00-25,00 %) was determined using Omega grafting under under polyhouse. The maximum success rate (95,00%) was observed using Akça grafting method under grafting room. In this case only 3.00-10 per cent success rate was obtained between whip grafting and Akca grafting done in 2nd week of February and March. The higher grafting success rate (95,00%) in Akca grafting recorded under the grafting room. Considering the general grafting success rates, no difference was found between the Akça and whip grafting methods. The grafting success rate of the Omega grafting method was observed to be very low. The highest marketable sapling rate was observed in the Akça grafting method. Significant affects were also determined on callusing rate, shoot length, shoot diameter, leaf area, and marketable sapling rate in between using grafting method.
