A qualitative research on the role of women in environmental movements: Kütahya TEMA Foundation

Mankind has always lived in harmony with nature since the first day of its existence. In addition to the closeness of all people with nature, women and nature are often mentioned together. The reason for this is sometimes due to the common characteristics of both and sometimes the common pain they have experienced. Whatever the reason for the closeness between woman and nature, women have taken it their duty to protect nature. As a matter of fact, it is seen that women are at the forefront of environmental movements carried out today. The woman did not attract attention with her life and was effective in communicating with people. Therefore, women are the most important cultural carriers. Women, like nature, contain all human beings. At the same time, this diversity in women has also been effective in her protection of nature. The attitudes of women in environmental movements are directly proportional to their effects on social life. Therefore, this attitude of women and their interaction in societies should be transferred from generation to generation. In the study, which deals with the role of women in environmental movements and using the interview method; It is aimed to reveal the effects and reasons of the role of women in environmental movements. In this review, questions about women, nature and environmental movement were prepared. Questions were directed to volunteer women at the Kütahya TEMA Foundation.It is revealed that they will be used in content-related content, that they play a role in environmental movements and that this basic foundation originates from its goal.
