The effects of environmental policies upon public administrations. Example of Çankaya Municipality

Environmental problems take place in basic problems in Turkey like that all world. Even though the environmental problems depends on local sources, in respect of the results of the environmental problems acquire the universal dimension. However, unless the environmental problems take up the local level, application of effective policies on the environmental problems is impossible. Local governments take a major role on the solution of the environmental problems that is going to be a best approach. The aim of this study is to demonstrate how environmental policies conduct the activities of public administrations in Turkey. Public administrations, as practitioners of the environmental policies, have the opportunity to intervene more quickly in environmental problems. In this regard; the environmental activities of public administrations gain importance in the point of environmental protection This theoric study related to the effects of the environmental policies upon the environmental activities of public administrations is evaluated in practice in the example of Çankaya Municipality.
