Abstract (EN)
Construction sector, which has an important role in the name of shaping the artificial environment, has become one of the main responsible factor for the environmental problems. Million tons of waste which appeared in production and post-production stages, cause problems in the buildings. Besides preserving artificial and natural environment, ensuring the continuity of the resources are also the main objectives. In this context; sustainable building production becomes one of the concerns of the architecture discipline. Interaction of environment with the architectural products, which become concrete with the building materials, researched with the life cycle assessment method. Recycling of building materials is an important criterion within this context. Investigations become intense on the subject of recycling a great deal of building materials. Although after completing life cycle, wood which is one of the main building materials, does not cause environmental problems; on the other hand, being an expensive material and inadequate resource are the causes of aiming to recycle and this isIV important for sustainability of the material. Particleboards in this direction, is a method in which wood waste can intensely be evaluated. But, wood used as a raw material can be a waste or not and the effects of the quantity of the waste on the material must be researched. From this extent, the improvements of production techniques of particleboards, in which wood waste is used as raw material; and the effects of this improvements to the performance of particleboards; experiment methods and results which are used in determining performance related with the act of bending and pulling are considered in this work. At the end of this work, it is seen that when required technology is obtained, particleboards which have too many amounts of wood waste; can also be a material that is raw material sheltered, thrifty energy and more sensitive to the environment.
