Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to examine the relation between the log data obtained from the online learning platform prepared within the scope of this study and the learning approaches of the students. For this purpose, actions of the students in the online learning platform were kept in the database tables, and the learning approach of the students was determined by the Study Process Questionnaire. The relationship between the log data and the characteristics observed in the Study Process Questionnaire of the students were examined. 61 3rd year students enrolled in Internet Based Programming course in Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technologies (CEIT) of Yildiz Technical University participated in the study in the fall semester of 2016-2017 academic year. The course was given face-to-face. The students used online learning environment prepared within the scope of the study for accessing the materials and taking notes. In accordance with the purpose of the study, the duration of the course material display, the duration of the activity on the platform, the time of activity, the additional study status information additional study status information were kept in the relevant tables in the database. It has been examined whether there is a significant difference between the learning approaches in the study and the time spent in the learning environment, number of transactions in the environment and use of supplementary materials. In addition, the relationship between students' learning approaches in online learning environments, student activities and academic success has also been studied.
