Abstract (EN)

The process of measurement takes an important role in education activities. The developments in science and technology causes the variation and developments of measurement field as in the other fields of education. Classical Test Theory has been the measurement paradigm used for measurement since 20th century. Item Response Theory has been not used because of it?s mathematical complication where as it has been developed in the same period. The usage of Item Response Theory has become used as the computers has become wide spread and Computerized Adaptive Test has been developed in which computers and Item Response Theory has been used. As we have seen the examples of Computerized Adaptive Test in different parts of world ,it has been not used in our country except the purpose of study.In addition to this Computerized Adaptive Test couldn?t have been applied in classes and distance education.The purpose of this study is developing an online assessment tool using classical test theory and computerized adaptive testing and search out the opinions of teacher candidates about the usage of tests based on classical test theory and Computerized Adaptive Test in classes and distance education.In this study the opinions of 35 teacher canditates ,educated in Sakarya University Education Faculty Computer Education and Instruction Technology Department,about classical test theory and computerized adaptive test application process and usage of these test have been used with the semi-structured oral interview.As a result of this study it has been come out that the teacher candidates have?nt been come upon with the computerized adaptive test concept and they are eager to use computerized adaptive test in class activities and in distance educationthe usage of computer adaptive test can be an effective measurement process if there would be an item pool prepared before.
