The role of peter pan syndrome and psychological flexibility in quarter life crisis

This study aims to investigate the predictive roles of Peter Pan Syndrome and the psychological inflexibility scores of emerging adults in the quarter-life crisis. It was carried out using a correlational design, and participants were reached through convenience sampling. Data from 599 participants with a mean age of 25.17 (SD = 2.78) were collected, and the data was collected through the personal information form, Crisis Screening Questionnaire-9, Fear of Growth Scale, and Acceptance and Action Questionnaire. Multiple regression analysis results showed that fear of growth and psychological inflexibility explained 24% of the variance in quarter-life crisis scores. It has been observed that the contribution of psychological inflexibility to the variance explained by the model is higher than fear of growth. According to demographic variables, differences in scores of the scales were examined. Then, the findings were discussed in the light of the relevant literature, and suggestions were made.
