The recidivism in Criminal Law

After the Turkish Criminal Code has been come into effect in 2005, the necessity to examine the new institutions has been appeared. One of these institutions is the recidivism. The recidivism is, after committing an offence, recommitting another in a definite time period. In our thesis we have tried to analyze the recidivism in the new Turkish criminal law system. Doing this, we have taken into consideration the dangerousness. Other than this, we have discussed the offences which are important concerning the recidivism, in order to concretise our research. We have tried to show the main differences by giving information about the conditions of the recidivism. At the end we have examined the consequences of the recidivism, especially the probation.
