Abstract (EN)

In today's dynamic and competitive business world, the survival of businesses and organizations depends on the effective and efficient use of existing resources, especially employees. In this context, the concept of organizational citizenship behavior, which indicates the positive and unofficial behaviors of employees, is one of the most critical factors affecting the performance of organizations. One of the variables that affect this concept is the job satisfaction level of the employees. In the study, these two concepts are examined in the context of biculturalism, which has not yet been adequately addressed in management sciences. Culture is one of the most determining factors that shape the behavior of individuals. In this context, examining the effects of bicultural individuals' behavior in the business environment will make an essential contribution to management science literature. The relationships between these three variables were studied by analyzing the data collected with the help of the questionnaire applied to the employees of Turkish origin living in Germany. Data were obtained from 675 employees with the questionnaire created by adapting the scales obtained from the literature. As a result of the analyzes carried out using the structural equation modeling technique, it was seen that the level of biculturalism is effective on both the level of job satisfaction and the level of exhibiting organizational citizenship behaviors. Here, it was also revealed that biculturalism affects organizational citizenship behavior through job satisfaction. The results also showed that job satisfaction level significantly affects exhibiting organizational citizenship behaviors. The effects of demographic variables on the main variables of the study are also studied. In this context, gender, the sector of participants' work, the generation of the participants, and age were examined. The results showed that gender, generation, and age had some effects, while the industry had no effect on the main variables.
