Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study, firstly the definition and classification of functional differential equations are given, and the oscillatory and non-oscillatory properties of the solutions of these equations are dwelled on. Subsequently, functional differential equations containing distributed deviating arguments are defined and some examples of the applications of distributed deviating arguments in various branches of science are introduced. Then, some existing results in the literature on the oscillation of higher order (especially of even order) of ordinary and/or functional differential equations are presented. In the main results section of the thesis study, by considering a class of even order neutral differential equations with distributed deviating arguments, new comparison theorems have been obtained regarding the oscillatory behavior of the solutions of this equation. Significance and applicability of the results obtained are explained by illustrative examples.
