Family in Cihan Aktaş' stories

Cihan Aktaş is one of the important representatives of the modern Turkish story after 1990. The author has thirteen published story books. This study is about the family concept in the stories of Cihan Aktaş who contributed to Turkish storytelling after 1990. Cihan Aktaş's thirteen books were examined and the families in the stories have been evaluated under various titles. It is aimed to make a holistic assessment on a certain subject about the author's storytelling. Cihan Aktaş is a productive writer who has produced thirty-six works in the genre of novel, research and story. About this author, graduate studies are limited to two. This study is one of the graduate research studies on Cihan Aktaş storytelling. It can be said that the family concept has an important place in Cihan Aktaş' stories. Nearly in all his stories, he offers the characters to the reader through the family. The concept of the family has been interpreted in the stories of the author in five chapters. In the first chapter, the formation of the families in the stories was emphasized. We added subtitles "Arranged Marriages, Love Marriages, Ideological Marriages, Marriage as an Escape, Founders of the Own Family" into these forms of formation. In the second chapter, we examined the family members in the stories under the three main titles "Mother-Female, Father-Male, Other Family Members". In the third chapter, we examined the relationship between family and children, in the fourth chapter the family size as "Nuclear Family, Large Family, Fragmented / Disintegrating Families" and in the fifth chapter we examined family members' education statusincluding the family members of the family "Mother's Education Status, Father's Education Status, Education of Children.
