The effect of liquid worm fertilizer on seedling production in srawberry

Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in 2020-2021 on the experimental field of Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture. As a material, the Kabarla neutral day strawberry variety is used. In the study, the effects of seven applications using commercial fertilizer and three doses of liquid vermicompost either singly or in combination on the number and quality of seedlings in strawberries were examined. As a result of the study, it was determined that there were statistically significant differences between the applications in terms of quality of seedling development parameters of the Kabarla strawberry variety and that commercial fertilizer and liquid vermicompost in general had positive effects on seedling development. According to the findings, the highest number of seedlings consisting of mother plant and daughter plants was measured in commercial fertilizer application in the first trial year, while in the second trial year, it was determined that there were similar values. When different fertilizer doses are compared, the best root development in terms of root thickness was commercial fertilizer + S2 (1.50 mm) application, where there was no difference between the applications in terms of the maximum number of roots in the mother plants, while no statistical difference was found between other applications. In the effects of different fertilizer doses (%) on root dry weight, the best results were determined in S2 (56.14%) and S3 (56.11%) applications
