Effects of basalt fiber-chemical admixture conformity on durability properties of cement mortars

Abstract (EN)

Concrete is the most widely used building material in the construction sector. But the concrete's ability to withstand environmental conditions for many years; production quality, strength and durability. It has been shown that some factors, which have been experienced for many years and which are also proven by experiments, affect the concrete durability negatively. Examples include sulphate and brine effects, high temperatures, alkali aggregate reactions, abrasion, freezing and thawing. Therefore, maximizing the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of this building material is very important for building safety. The easiest way to do this is to use additives. Concrete admixtures are organic or inorganic materials that are added to the concrete in small amounts before or during mixing. Basalt fiber and chemical additives are used to increase compressive strength, tensile strength, bending strength and abrasion resistance of concrete. For this purpose, blank samples were produced. In addition to 0.3% basalt fiber, 0.4% basalt fiber and 0.5% basalt fiber, 2.4 l / m³ super plasticizer was added to each sample. Each sample of 7 and 28 days was subjected to freezing and thawing tests followed by compression strength test. Basalt fiber with 0.3% basalt fiber and super plasticizer doped sample increased by 4% compared to the blank sample, 0.4% basalt fiber and super plasticizer doped sample increased by 9% compared to the blank sample but 0.5% basalt fiber and It was observed that the compressive strength of the sample with superplasticizer added increased by 1% compared to the witness sample and the compressive strength decreased by 0.3% and 0.4% basalt fiber. Böhme abrasion test was applied to the other samples prepared with the same contribution rates. As a result of this test, it is seen that the wear amount is less in the sample with 0.3% basalt fiber ratio compared to the witness sample, the wear amount in the sample with 0.4% basalt fiber ratio is less than that of the sample with 0.3% basalt fiber, but the wear in 0.5% basalt fiber ratio sample Although the amount of the sample is less than the 0.3% and 0.4% was observed to be higher than the sample.
