Abstract (EN)

Concrete is the most commonly used construction material in civil engineering applications. Permeability of concrete plays a key role to perform a durable concrete or reinforced concrete structure. Pore structure, micro or macro cracks, mixture proportions, cement type, concrete class and the environmental conditions are affecting parameters of the concrete permeability. In this study, effects of cement type, mineral admixture and concrete class on the permeability of concrete were investigated by water absorption, capillarity, air permeability, water permeability, ultrasound, chloride permeability, electrical resistivity test methods. Test results showed that cement type and concrete class have effective parameters on permeability, and mineral admixture usage has enhanced the impermeability. On the other hand convenient correlations were established between some certain permeability test methods.
