Özet (EN)

In this experimental study, the usability of waste marble powder (WMP), silica fume (SF) and the phosphogypsum (P) in cement production was investigated. For this purpose, WMP obtained from Çavdarlar marble factory, P obtained from Bandırma fertilizer plant, natural gypsum and clinker obtained from Limak Ankara cement factory and SF obtained from Etibank electrometallurgy industry. The chemical compositions, the physical and mineralogical properties of these materials were determined by tests. By grinding natural gypsum with clinker Portland cement PC 42.5 called as control cement and by grinding phosphogypsum with clinker PMP0 cement called also as control cement were produced. Blended cements are obtained by using 5% of P (by weight). PMP blended cement obtained at different ratios of 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, 15%, 20% and 25% by weight of WMP. PMPSF blended cement obtained at different ratios of 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, 15%, 20% and 25% by weight of WMP and SF.Cement mortars were mixed using produced blended cements under the relative humidity of 50-60 % and at 21±2 °C temperature according to TS EN 196-1 standard and then 40 x 40 x 160 mm mortar prisms were obtained in laboratory conditions. Obtained mortar specimens were kept in curing pool until test age. Compressive and flexural strength tests were carried out on mortar specimens at 3, 7, 28, and 90 days. The obtained test results were compared with to each other blended cements as well as to control cements PC 42.5 and PMP 0.According to test results, the chemical compositions and physical properties of the control cements PC 42.5 and PMP0, blended cements PMP and PMPSF are suitable with the limit values in the TS EN 197-1. Flexural and compressive strengths of blended cements were decreased according to control cements in the early stages of curing. It has been observed that in the advancing stages of curing, however, the strength values of the blended cements indicated near results to the control cements. In addition to that; blended cements were compared with each other at 3, 7, 28, and 90 days of ages, the highest flexural and compressive strengths were obtained with the PMPSF3 cement. As a result, waste marble powder, silica fume and phosphogypsum can be used together in the cement production.
